Barbecued Chicken
2 cups marinara-style prepared spaghetti sauce
1/2 cup heavy syrup drained from canned peaches, apricots or pineapple
8 chicken drumsticks, skinned
Combine sauce and syrup in saucepan. Ad as many drumsticks as will be
covered by the sauce mixture, about 8. Simmer gently until the chicken
is almost cooked through, approximately 45 minutes. Place chicken on the
grill. Baste with sauce until crispy, making sure to turn it as it crisps,
for about 30 minutes.
Chicken also can be crisped in the oven or toaster over at 350 degrees
for about 30 minutes.
