Creme De La Vino, Cooking
with wine
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup raspberry wine or other fruit wine
3/4 cup sugar
1 package unflavored gelatin
2 cups sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 package frozen unsweetened raspberries or other fruit
Mix heavy cream, wine, sugar and gelatin and stir until sugar is dissolved.
Set aside 5 minutes, then stir over low heat to dissolve gelatin. Remove
from heat and cool until lukewarm. Gently fold in sour cream, and blend
until smooth. Pour into 1 1/2-quart mold and cool in refrigerator four
hours. Garnish with raspberries or other fruit before serving.
