They're easy, and they taste so good

Celia Fuchsman doesn't remember exactly where she found the recipe for Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies -in a magazine or newspaper, she thinks.

She thought it would be too easy for the Cookie Exchange, but she and her husband, Milt, like the cookies so well, she decided to send it in.

"We're big cookie eaters," says Celia Fuchsman. She and Milt, both retired, moved to Homewood at Williamsport in August, and she's baking in an electric stove for the first time.

What does Milt Fuchsman think of the cookies from the new oven?

"He just eats them," Celia Fuchsman laughs.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies

  • 1 package devil's food cake mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 5 ounces peanut butter chips

Mix and beat cake mix, eggs and oil until well mixed. Batter will be stiff.

Stir in peanut butter chips. Roll into 1-inch balls.

Place on lightly greased baking sheet. Flatten slightly.

Bake in preheated 350-degree oven 10 minutes or until a slight indentation remains. Cool 2 minutes.
